無垢の質感を放つ金属棒が織りなす、ミニマムなシェイプ。
きっかけは、普遍的なモノのあり方を問う視点だった。
「昔からある家具の形を、現在のテクノロジーによって、
さらに極限まで削ぎ落としていったなら、どうなるか」
家具のデザインは、その時代ごとの技術を注ぎ、
機能と美を極限まで追求することで進化してきた。
そこで注目したのが、日本のものづくりを支えるNC旋盤。
刃の動きを数値制御（Numerical Control）する仕組みで、
熟練職人が扱えば、超高精度な切削加工が可能になる。
このNC旋盤を活用して、製造技術の限界を追求。
美麗なるステンレスと真鍮の無垢棒を、1本ずつ
微細なテーパー形状のフォルムへ削り出していく。
そこに施されるネジ穴にも、寸分の誤差は許されない。
こうして完成したパーツを、自らの手で組み上げれば
6本の金属棒がコンマ単位で力強く噛み合い、
椅子の機能を備えた、シャープな造形が立ち上がる。
工程から完成形までを最小限のプロセスで、
オブジェとしての美しさと存在感は最大限に。
研ぎ澄ましたデザインに、時を超える悦びを込めて。
所有欲を艶【ルビ：つや】やかに刺激する、
タイムレスなスツールが完成した。
Metal rods, evoking a sense of purity, create a minimalist form.
The starting point of the work was a perspective that explores the existence of universal things.
"What would happen to the form of furniture if it were to be reduced to the limit using current
technology?"
The design of furniture has been evolving by investing into the technology of each generation,
and pursuing functionality and aesthetics to the extreme.
What we then focused on was NC lathe that supports Japanese manufacturing.
The mechanism that numerically controls the motion of the blades when handled by artisans,
makes incredibly precise cutting possible.
With this NC lathe, the limits of production technology are pursued.
Pure stainless steel and beautiful brass rods are individually pared down into the form of a refined
taper.
For the screw holes created there, any inaccuracies however small, are not allowed.
With this production process, when the parts are assembled with your own hands, the 6 metal
rods will fit firmly and with utmost precision, and a refined form that possesses the function of a
chair will emerge.
Using the absolute smallest amount of processing from production to perfection, beauty and a
sense of presence is amplified.
The refined design embraces pleasure that will not fade over time.
This timeless stool has been perfected, sensually invoking one's desire to possess it.
